HOLLYWOOD, 2011-01-28 21:31 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In anticipation of the
release of his new film, Just Go With It, in theaters February 11, 2011, Adam
Sandler will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, February
1, at 11:30 am.

Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Manchester, New
Hampshire. Sandler's first brush with comedy came at age 17, with a performance
at a Boston comedy club. From then on he was hooked, performing regularly in
comedy clubs throughout the state, while earning a degree in Fine Arts from New
York University. While performing stand up, he was spotted by Dennis Miller and
recruited to join the 'Saturday Night Live' team where he was a regular for
five seasons.

Sandler's films have grossed more than $3 billion worldwide. His most recent
film, Sony Pictures' Grown Ups, is the highest-grossing of his career, taking
in more than $271 million worldwide. Sandler stars next in JUST GO WITH IT,
which will be released by Sony Pictures on February 11.
