Sberbank of Russia Agreed on Main Terms of Acquisition of Volksbank
International with its Shareholders
July 14, 2011, Moscow - Today Sberbank reached an agreement on the main
terms and conditions of acquisition of Oesterreichische Volksbanken -
Volksbanken International (VBI). Today in Vienna, a relevant document was
signed between Sberbank representatives and all VBI shareholders VBAG,
BPCE, DZ Bank, WGZBank).
The Parties announced that they will strive to close this deal by the end
of 2011. VBI branch in Romania is not included in the deal. The parties
agreed that additional terms and conditions will not be disclosed until
legally binding documents are signed.
