CTIA ENTERPRISE & APPLICATIONS™ Issues Call for Entries for 2011 Hot for the Holidays Awards

10 Categories Available with Applicants Judged on Innovation, Functionality, Creativity and “Hotness”
WASHINGTON, DC, August 8, 2011 – CTIA ENTERPRISE & APPLICATIONS™ 2011 today issued a call for entries for its third annual CTIA Hot for the Holidays awards program, which recognizes the hottest mobile consumer electronics (CE) products, services and applications for the holiday season. Deadline for submissions is August 22 at 11:59pm PT. The CTIA Hot for the Holidays award finalists will be announced in early September and the winners will be recognized at CTIA ENTERPRISE & APPLICATIONS 2011, which will take place in San Diego, CA, October 11-13.
CTIA invites companies to submit products, services and applications until August 22 in the following categories at www.ctiashows.com/holidays:
•Fashionista – accessories, luxury and brand name and high-end devices
•Fitness Buff – fitness apps, devices and accessories
•Gadget Guru – the latest, most innovative devices on the market
•Gamer – gaming and entertainment apps, devices and accessories
•Globetrotter – location-based services and apps, ticketing solutions, embedded GPS devices and booking and reservation apps
•Health & Wellness Nut – apps and devices that encourage good health, wellness and enhance patient care
•Music Enthusiast – music phones, apps and accessories
•Road Warrior – smartphones, netbooks, Bluetooth accessories/headsets and other productivity apps
•Shutter Bug – camera phones and accessories
•Social Butterfly – apps and devices that make staying socially “networked” easy
In addition to the 10 award categories, show attendees may vote for their favorite products both online and by text onsite at CTIA ENTERPRISE & APPLICATIONS. The entry with the most online votes will be named the “CTIA 2011 Hottest Web Pick.” The entry that earns the most text votes during the show will be determined the “CTIA 2011 Hottest in Show.”
One winner will be selected for each category by a distinguished panel of mobile CE media, analysts and retailers based on innovation, functionality, creativity and “hotness.”
Attendees may have a hands-on experience with the products and services submitted for the CTIA Hot for the Holidays awards program during CTIA ENTERPRISE & APPLICATIONS by visiting Booth #145 on the exhibit floor.
Eligibility Requirements
All product entries must have a 2011 release date; upgrades and new releases are welcome. Working prototypes are allowed, and submitting companies do not have to be CTIA members or show exhibitors to enter. There is a $250 non-refundable submission fee for the first product entered and a $200 submission fee for each additional product. Physical product submissions are mandatory. The submission deadline is Monday, August 22, 2011 at 11:59pm PT. Enter at www.ctiashows.com/holidays.
