BAS Logistics PLC successfully launches German subsidiary in the mass
retailing market
Esher (UK), 4th November 2011
BAS Logistics PLC (ISIN: GB00B3NJDQ12, WKN: A1H7DR, ticker symbol: LDA),
with its administrative headquarters in Esher, Great Britain, founded the
German subsidiary company Basel Logistics Deutschland GmbH (BLD GmbH),
based in Mainz.
BAS Logistics PLC successfully launches subsidiary company Basel Logistics
Deutschland GmbH in the German business market. BLD GmbH was set up to
operate in the divisions of retail trade and mass retailing, with special
emphasis to be placed on the German market.
Its predecessor was able to generate a turnover of over 15 million euros
over the past two years. As a result of the increased capital resources
available to BAS Logistics PLC, these business divisions are now to be
completely reconstructed and particularly strong growth is expected in
these areas. The company already envisages a total revenue of at least
300,000 euros for the month of November 2011. The company's flow of goods
capacity is to be at least doubled by the second quarter of 2012 at the
latest.
The core business of BLD GmbH is the purchase of goods in bulk in Asia and
Europe, which are then sold onto retailers and customers in Germany. The
company can benefit from a customer database of over 30,000 individual and
loyal clients. The flow of goods for a large order currently stands at
around four to six weeks, which the company aims to reduce to two to three
weeks.
This business requires high liquidity for the purchase of goods and
commissioning. Direct access to the capital market via the parent company
BAS Logistics PLC facilitates a simplified process for the raising of
capital and therefore, considerably accelerates growth opportunities for
BLD GmbH.
