Sberbank held a business lunch in Davos
January 27, 2012, Davos (Switzerland) - Sberbank of Russia held a business
lunch 'New Russia, new Europe: the great transformation' within the World
Economic Forum. Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia German Gref
acted as moderator of the event.
The roundtable included speeches of the First Deputy Chairman of the
Government of Russia Igor Shuvalov, First Deputy Chairman of the Central
Bank of Russia Aleksey Ulyukaev, Director of the Centre for European Policy
Studies Daniel Gross, Head of Societe Generale Frederic Oudea, assistant of
the President of the Russian Federation Arkadiy Dvorkovich, ex-Minister of
Finance of Russia Aleksey Kudrin, Chairman of the Board of OJSC 'ROSNANO'
Anatoly Chubais, Head of 'Skolkovo' Fund Victor Vekselberg.
The event included interactive voting. According to results of one of such
votes the majority of participants think that the main risk for Russia is
corruption (23.8% of votes). Number two risk according to the attendants is
the excessive public sector of economy (17.5%), number three - the outdated
political system, lack of checks and balances system (16.2%). The average
mark of efficiency of Russian authorities at 10-grade scale according to
participants of the business lunch was 3.
Starting 2008 Sberbank is a strategic partner of the World Economic Forum.
In 2009 the President, Chairman of the Board of Sberbank German Gref joined
the International Business Senate working within the Forum. In 2011 German
Gref was elected to the Board of the World Economic Forum.
