Biopremier receives the accreditation of two clinical tests for the
veterinarian sector

Lisbon, the 25th of January 2012 - Biopremier, an early to mid-stage
Portuguese Biotech company active in the food analysis and the clinical
diagnostics sector today announces that it had received the accreditation
of two clinical tests for the veterinarian sector according to the ISO
17025 standard. This accreditation is valid for the European market.
Both tests are mainly focused on the veterinary sector whereby the test for
the detection of Mycoplasmatales has a potential market volume of around
0.7 million Euro in Portugal, respectively around 30 million Euro in
Europe.
The second test, regarding the detection of Dermatophytes has potential
market volume of 1.5 million Euro in Portugal, respectively 100 million
Euro in Europe.
The advantage of the now accredited tests of Biopremier is that the
detection of Dermatophytes by PCR delivers results in 24 to 48 hours
instead two to three weeks using traditional methods. Furthermore the tests
offer a high level of specificity and sensibility.
The detection of Mycoplasmatales by PCR delivers as well results within 24
to 48 hours that is also much quicker than the traditional methods that may
need around one week to show results.
Currently Biopremier has a portfolio of 27 tests of which nine are unique
in Europe.
Now, the focus of the company is to market its portfolio within the
European countries. Therefore negotiations with selected market players
have been initiated already.

having a portfolio of around 42 accredited tests by the end of the year.'

for the clinical use, which are anticipated to be launched in 2013. In the
