Wick Hill release: Woking, Surrey: 31st January 2012 - After a record five successive wins as Network Computing’s ‘Channel Partner of the Year/Distributor of the Year’, VAD Wick Hill is honoured to be nominated for a sixth time, but is stepping aside for the 2012 awards.
Instead, the company is continuing its commitment to the awards as a sponsor for the 2012 Distributor of the Year title, as well as backing Network Computing with the new, special Wick Hill Award for Contribution to ICT award.
Barry Mattacott, marketing manager Wick Hill Group, said: “We have always backed the Network Computing awards 100% and are delighted and truly honoured to have been voted winners for five consecutive years. It shows that the value-added activities conducted by the Wick Hill team are really appreciated by our customers.
“As we are sponsoring a new awards category this year, The Wick Hill Award for Contribution to ICT, we felt that it was best for us to stand aside, and to also sponsor the Distributor of the Year title. We are very grateful to Network Computing and its readers for their kind votes over the last five years.
“What we hope to achieve with this new award is to find the person, and not the company, who has achieved the most in ICT, whether that be from the channel, from a vendor or from an end user.
