Katjes International acquires 90% of Belgian distribution business of
Cloetta
Emmerich, 22nd February 2012 - European Sweets Distribution N.V., a
90-percent subsidiary of Katjes International GmbH&Co. KG, today acquired
all shares of the Belgian distribution business of Swedish firm Cloetta AB.
Katjes International thus further strengthens its activities in the Benelux
region and continues its growth strategy with a focus on sugar
confectionery in Western Europe.
The purchase of the 90% of the shares by Katjes International will be
financed through a portion of the proceeds of the bond issued in 2011. The
other 10% of European Sweets Distribution belong to Mr. Paul Vermeulen who
will finance his respective portion of the purchase price.
