Hamburg, Germany, February 28, 2012 - CBF-China Bio Fertilizer, the market
leader for bio fertilizer in China, aims to strengthen and reorganize its
corporate structure. In order to ensure an efficient and strong company
growth, CBF established the position of a Business Development Director.
With immediate effect, Mr. Herman Wong is appointed for this position in
which he mainly will be responsible for M&A, re-organization and investor
relationship. Due to its previous position as CFO of the company, Mr. Wong
is very experienced in building a sound organization.
Following this appointment, the board of directors nominated Mr. Chen
Qingguo for new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company. Mr. Qingguo
is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in China and disposes of substantial
academic qualifications. Prior to joining CBF he worked as a Financial
Controller in a machinery production company in China.
The company will publish its preliminary figures (full year 2011) in early
April. According to first data on sales, the company is very confident to
achieve its forecast of RMB 120m (EUR 14,5m), published on November 9th,
2011.
Bacteria-based biological fertilizer
CBF's bio fertilizer primarily consist of two different bacteria that, when
put in the ground with the conventional fertilizers convert phosphorus and
potassium into a form that is easily absorbed by plants. Using this bio
fertilizer reduces the need for chemical fertilizers by up to 30% and,
depending on the type of plant, boosts crop yields by up to 30%.

CBF China Bio-Fertilizer AG ('CBF') produces and distributes bio fertilizer
through its operating subsidiary in China. Based on its own estimates, the
company is the market leader in the Chinese market for bio fertilizer. Its
products reduce the use of conventional fertilizers and simultaneously
boost crop yields. CBF is licensed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the
People's Republic of China.
The operating subsidiary of CBF 'Shandong Chengwu Jiuzhou Science and
Technology Development Company Limited' was founded in Shandong Province,
China, in 2005, with a view to exploiting biotechnological processes for
agriculture. After three years of development work, in May 2009 the company
launched its first bio fertilizer product based on microorganisms in the
Chinese market under the brand name 'Xin Sheng Li'. At present CBF
distributes its bio fertilizer in eleven of 26 Chinese provinces. The
company intends to expand to further provinces. CBF currently sells its
fertilizer directly to major agricultural cooperatives, plantations and
wholesalers in China.
