Haglöfs sponsors Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships

In connection with the launch of a new series of products specially developed
for skiing, Haglöfs has become the main sponsor of the Scandinavian Big Mountain
Championships. The competition takes place on 15-17 May at Riksgränsen.
Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships is the world's oldest and most
prestigious freeskiing competition. Over the years, it has attracted many of the
world's elite. Haglöfs will be present both as a sponsor and with Haglöfs
Friends.
Nicolas Warchalowski, CEO of Haglöfs, says: "Offering products for skiers is not
a new departure for Haglöfs, but with the launch of a new series developed in
close collaboration with Per Jonsson and Asbjørn Eggebø Næss, professional
freeskiiers and Haglöfs Friends, it suits us perfectly to go in as a sponsor.
Freeskiing is about as close to the ultimate experience of nature as you can
get. Freeskiers also place high demands on their equipment."
The competition, which ends the European freeskiing season, is an open contest
where anyone who wants - and dares - can take part in the qualifying round. The
action takes place on the north side of Nordalsfjäll mountain - a stone's throw
away from Vassitjåkka mountain, which gave its name to Haglöfs' new Vassi ski
jacket, winner of the 2012 ISPO Award in the category "Action Sports".
