Aktiv Kapital announces a significant portfolio acquisition in the United Kingdom with a face value of GBP 470 million

Aktiv Kapital has today signed a contract to acquire a non- performing loan
portfolio in the United Kingdom with a face value of GBP 470 million. The
portfolio consists of more than 90 000 accounts of unsecured, non-performing
consumer loans, with gross collections in the 12 months prior to completion of
over GBP 13 million. The debt is originated from a leading global financial
Institution.
Aktiv Kapital has initially financed the acquisition of the portfolio through a
short term loan of USD 50 million from Metrogas Holdings Inc., a company
affiliated to its largest shareholder, Geveran Trading Co. Ltd. Metrogas has
been provided with an option to acquire the UK portfolio at cost if the loan is
not repaid.

significant investments when we see value in the distressed debt market. Our
