Information

The technical consulting companies ÅF AB and Sweco AB have signed a joint
contract with Skanska Healthcare AB for project engineering work relating to the
New Karolinska Solna University Hospital (NKS) outside Stockholm. The contract
is worth a total of approximately SEK 580 million to be divided equally in the
consortium between ÅF and Sweco. Work corresponding to approximately SEK 250
million of this total has already been carried out.

"NKS is Skanska's biggest ever project, and we consider it an honour that the
company has chosen to collaborate with us on the most complicated part of the
entire undertaking," says Mats Påhlsson, President of ÅF's Infrastructure
Division.

ÅF's involvement extends to the end of December 2014 and includes project
management services and the project engineering of the new hospital's technical
installations, energy supply and infrastructure, energy efficiency engineering
and environmental engineering.

ÅF has already been engaged in the NKS project for a number of years together
with Skanska and Sweco, but this collaboration has now been formalised and
extended. ÅF has many years' experience of working on major technical consulting
projects for the healthcare sector, both in Sweden and internationally.

The New Karolinska Solna Hospital (NKS)
When completed, NKS will be a new, ultra-modern university hospital in Solna, on
the outskirts of Stockholm. The hospital will provide specialised and highly
specialised healthcare and serve as a centre for an extensive programme of
medical research and education of the very highest quality. The new hospital is

scheduled to be ready to receive its first patients in 2016 and will be fully
completed in 2017.
