WIGE Media AG becomes long-term TV production partner of the ADAC GT
Masters
- WIGE MEDIA AG to produce the ADAC GT Masters for a further three years
Cologne, 15 March 2012: WIGE MEDIA AG (ISIN: DE000A1EMG56/SCN: A1EMG5) and
ADAC have extended their master agreement for the television production of
the ADAC GT Masters for three years. With this order, the world's
second-largest automotive club is establishing stable long-term conditions
for the TV coverage of GT Masters races. WIGE MEDIA AG has already been
commissioned by ADAC to produce the TV images since 2007, meaning that it
has accompanied the 'league of super sports cars' since its debut year. In
addition to live production, WIGE is responsible for international TV
marketing. In 2011, a potential viewing audience of around two billion was
reached in more than 40 countries.
The 2012 season of the ADAC GT Masters begins on 30 March at the Motorsport
Arena Oschersleben. In 2012, the ADAC GT Masters will be held on seven ADAC
Masters Weekends and as part of the ADAC Truck Grand Prix at the
Nürburgring. In addition to the six permanent racetracks in Germany, two
events are held at the Red Bull Ring in Austria and Zandvoort in the
Netherlands.
