Ahlstrom's ownership in Jujo Thermal to increase to 50%

Ahlstrom, a high performance materials company, announces that its ownership in
associated company Jujo Thermal Ltd. will increase to 50% from the current
41.7%.

Jujo Thermal has decided to redeem the shares of its minority shareholder Mitsui
& Co. Ltd. As a result, Jujo Thermal's remaining shareholders Nippon Paper Group
and Ahlstrom Corporation each own 50% of the company. Ahlstrom will continue to
include Jujo Thermal's financial figures in its consolidated financial
statements as an associated company.

Jujo Thermal is one of the world's leading suppliers of durable direct thermal
papers for label, tickets and tags and point-of-sales use. The company is based
in Kauttua, Finland.
