HAMBORNER REIT AG - Handover of OBI DIY store in Aachen
Duisburg, 05 April 2012 - As previously announced, HAMBORNER REIT AG's
portfolio is expanding further. This week the OBI DIY store in Aachen,
which was acquired back in June 2011, was transferred to the company's
portfolio. The approximately 11,400 m²property is a new construction
located in a business area of the Brand district, roughly 5 km to the
south-east of the centre of Aachen. OBI has maintained a presence at the
Aachen-Brand location for around 20 years, but is now relocating to a more
attractive site with this new building. The store has been open since 19
March 2012.
HAMBORNER acquired the property directly from the seller and project
developer, a project company in the Schoofs Group based in Kevelaer in the
Lower Rhine area of Germany. The gross yield is approximately 7.5%.
HAMBORNER was very active on the transaction market in 2011. Attractive
properties for approximately EUR122 million were added to the books. The
company has a current portfolio value of approx. EUR 518 million.
