White Sky Group | Gewers&Pudewill win major Saudi project in Makkah
(PresseBox) - White Sky Group | Gewers & Pudewill signed an important contract with Riyadh based AlFayadh Consultants for the development and master planning of 91 hectares, representing estimated future buildings of 3 Mio. square meters in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The contract was awarded by Jadwa Investment in Riyadh.
White Sky Group | Gewers & Pudewill, represented by the Architects and Directors Tobias Lindemann, Georg Gewers and Henry Pudewill signed the contract together with AlFayadh Consultants, represented by General Manager Eng. Tareq Zaid AlFayadh and Eng. Nizar AlSayed at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The contract award is the first milestone of a long term project partnership of White Sky Group | Gewers & Pudewill and AlFAyadh Consultants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
White Sky Group | Gewers & Pudewill won this groundbreaking project against strong competition of renown international consultancies like Lord Norman Foster. After winning the successful competition phase and first prize, the award-winning project underwent various stages of feasibility studies and due diligence to confirm market performance.
It represents an outstanding mixed-use development of middle and highrise buildings, utilizing new technologies in mobility and sustainability. It offers built space for estimated 160.000 inhabitants and integrates various building types from hotels, residential, malls, technical and medical infrastructure, mixed with parks and open spaces as well as spacious prayer areas.
