Metro International's Global Marketing project Metro Photo Challenge was
announced a winner in the INMA Awards 2012 last night in Los Angeles.

Metro Global Photo Challenge won first place in the category of Digital Audience
Usage and Engagement. The INMA Awards is a premier global competition for
marketing newsmedia brands. The anticipated awards dinner was held yesterday May
8(th) in Los Angeles.

"It is an honor to receive a first place in the INMA Awards and we are very
excited that the Metro Photo Challenge has been internationally recognized on
such a large scale. The engagement from our readers and participants has been
exceptional. This award is truly proof of the power of the world's largest
international newspaper" says Johanna Öberg, EVP Global Commercial Director at
Metro International.

Metro Photo Challenge was started in 2004 in Sweden, and ran in 2011 for the
5(th) year globally. The competition taps into young urbanite Metro readers'
interest in photography. It aims to promote amateurs, would-be professionals, as
well as professionals through exposing their work & photos to 17 million readers
on 4 continents. The competition also gives them chances to develop their skills
and portfolio during a trip to any city where Metro is published. The Global
Jury is compiled of skilled photographers with an international background,
headed by Chairman Nigel Barker, Fashion Photographer & Judge on the show
"America's Next Top Model".
