ING reaction to announcement of European Commission

ING has taken notice of the European Commission (EC) decision to appeal the
General Court judgment of 2 March 2012 that partially annulled the EC decision
regarding ING's restructuring plan.
ING has also taken notice of today's announcement by the EC on ING's
restructuring plan and their decision to investigate amendments to the
restructuring plan. ING will carefully assess these EC decisions as well as the
consequences.
Furthermore, as announced earlier, ING has begun discussions with the Dutch
State and together with the State will soon start discussions with the EC. The
Dutch State and ING have recently informed the EC that they will submit an
amended and updated restructuring plan. ING is looking forward to a constructive
dialogue with the State and the Commission to resolve the outstanding issues.
Any further announcements will only be made if and when appropriate.
