SCHIFFL + Partner is a founding member of the Global Enterprise Mobility Alliance - a joint venture between major systems integrators across the globe with the goal of providing multi-national corporations with truly global Managed Mobility Services
(PresseBox) - SCHIFFL+ Partner GmbH & Co. KG, a Hamburg based systems integrator with offices in Hamburg, Berlin, and Vienna and operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, announced that it has joined the GEMA as a founding member responsible for the DACHs region in Europe.
The Global Enterprise Mobility Alliance is a joint venture between major systems integrators across the globe with the goal of providing multi-national corporations with truly global Managed Mobility Services (MMS). This includes 24/7 mobile user support, deployment services, MDM infrastructure management. Later this year it will be expanded by Telecom Expenses Management Services.
"Many large multi-national corporations are telling us that they have not found a provider that can truly deliver on a global solution," says Robert Cornwell, Director Business Development at SCHIFFL + Partner. "We have developed GEMA to deliver global services but with strong local support from the experts in the field. This allows GEMA to be very nibble as well as provide local resources that understand the local markets, culture and language."
"IDC believes the announcement is a significant one, with potentially disruptive implications in the increasingly important and maturing channel for mobile enterprise managed services," says Nicholas McQuire, Research Director of IDC, a renowned research institute, in his analysis "Out-Tasking Enterprise Mobility is Growing, But Tier 1 Service Providers Aren't Getting It (Yet)" in March 2012.
GEMA is currently made up of eight system integrators: SCHIFFL + Partner in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; Voxmobile in the US and Canada; Navita in Brazil and Latin America; Berkley IT Services in UK and Ireland; EMS in Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe, GPXS in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands; MSC in Australia and New Zealand; and the latest member is Nation Sky in China. The GEMA will be expanded to cover Russia and India in the coming months.
