UMS AG: Fiscal Year 2012 Off to Excellent Start - Earnings per Share
Increase in First Quarter by 21% to EUR0.16
Hamburg, 15.05.2012 -UMS United Medical Systems International AG (UMS/ ISIN
DE0005493654) is off to an excellent start in fiscal year 2012.
Consolidated revenues reached EUR10.5 million in the first quarter,
increasing 13% over the previous year's figure of EUR9.3 million.
Consolidated earnings before taxes, interest and minorities (EBIT)
increased by 16% in the reporting period, from EUR2.9 million in Q1 2011 to
EUR3.4 million this year. Net income after minority interests increased by
13%, from EUR0.66 million in Q1 2011 to EUR0.75 million in Q1 2012.
Earnings per share (EPS) for the first three months of the current fiscal
year stood at EUR0.16, thus improving by EUR0.03 or approximately 21%
year-on-year.
Given the strong growth in Q1, UMS AG confirms the earnings target of
EUR0.60 to EUR0.70 per share for the current fiscal year 2012.
'We can look back on an excellent first quarter and have clearly improved
our revenues and earnings. This positive growth continued in April.
Therefore, we are confident that we will be able to significantly increase
our revenues and earnings for the entire 2012 year,' said Jorgen Madsen,
CEO of UMS AG.
