STOCKHOLDERS APPROVE CORN PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL NAME CHANGE TO INGREDION

WESTCHESTER, Ill., May 15, 2012 - Corn Products International, Inc. (NYSE: CPO),
a leading global provider of ingredient solutions to diversified industries,
today announced that its new name, Ingredion Incorporated, has been approved by
its stockholders. The announcement was made at the company's Annual Meeting.
"We are pleased that the name change has been approved. Ingredion better
describes our business model and our portfolio of ingredient solutions," said
Ilene Gordon, chairman, chief executive officer and president. "However, our
strategic blueprint remains the same. We are focused on driving shareholder

Beginning June 4, 2012, Corn Products will be listed on the New York Stock
Exchange as Ingredion (NYSE: INGR). The company plans a phased roll out of the
new name, beginning in the United States.
