Heijmans plans to sell prefab production activities to Bitter Beton-Systeme

Heijmans plans to sell its prefab production (previously known as Bestcon) to
Bitter Beton-Systeme GmbH, based in Goch, Germany. Bitter Beton-Systeme produces
prefab concrete elements for residential and utility construction, as well as
for the agricultural industry.
At the end of 2011, Heijmans transformed its prefab operations into an internal
production facility. Bitter Beton-Systeme wishes to add this streamlined
facility to its own organisation and continue production at its Best site. A
transaction incorporating agreements for long-term operational partnership is
expected to be finalised soon. For Heijmans, the disinvestment will result in a
limited transaction loss.
