TGS - New Share Capital Registered and Treasury Shares Transferred

Following the stock option exercises as notified by Oslo Stock Exchange on 20
May 2010, 90,000 new shares have now been registered in the Company Register in
Brønnøysund for exercises from the 2005 stock option plan. Two thousand five
hundred treasury shares are transferred to cover the exercises from the 2008
plan.  The Share Capital of TGS-NOPEC is thereafter NOK 26,100,568.75 consisting
of 104,402,275 shares at a nominal value of NOK 0.25 per share. Following this
transaction, TGS holds 1,769,750 of the issued shares as treasury shares.
