SGS Provides Construction Supervision for Highway Project ‘Viaducto Bicentenario’ in Mexico City
In August 2008, SGS was assigned a contract to conduct Construction Supervision for Viaducto Bicentenario, a 25 km highway project crossing Mexico City. During the twenty six - month contract, which is expected to be completed by October 31st, 2010, SGS provided compliance with all relevant regulations and valid standards, quality and budget control, safety coordination as well as assured that the construction project is kept within planned schedule.
SGS Conducts Construction Supervision for ‘Viaducto Bicentenario’ in Mexico City(firmenpresse) - In August 2008, SGS was awarded a twenty six-month contract to conduct Construction Supervision for Viaducto Bicentenario, the biggest elevated superhighway project in Mexico City, running 25 km from Mexico D.F to Tepotzotlan. Being the longest viaduct in Mexico, Viaducto Bicentenario will ease traffic in the northern part of Mexico City and will function as a quick route serving more than nine million residents.
In order to proceed with such an extensive project in compliance with all relevant regulations and valid standards, provide quality and budget control, safety coordination as well as assure that the construction project was kept within its planned schedule, the entire project required a reliable inspection, verification, testing and certification company.
Due to its extensive experience and competence in similar international projects, SGS Mexico was assigned a contract to provide Construction Supervision for Viaducto Bicentenario in Mexico City by the Mexican State Government.
In August 2008, the SGS team of experts, including the general coordinator, document and report controllers, financial controllers as well as the construction, quality and safety supervisors, began working on the Viaducto Bicentenario superhighway project. During the twenty-six month contract, SGS has provided compliance with all relevant regulations and valid standards, quality and budget control, safety coordination as well as assured that the construction project is kept within planned schedule.
