SGS Receives ISO 9001:2008 Certificate of Conformity in Colombia
On November 22nd, 2010, SGS has obtained the ISO 9001:2008 Certificate of Conformity in Colombia. SGS Industrial Services has been awarded in recognition of its implementation practices that are in compliance with the international Quality Management System standard.
(firmenpresse) - The Industrial Services division of SGS in Colombia has received the ISO 9001:2008 Certificate of Conformity in Chile. The extensive certification audit ensures that SGS’s activities and its internal Quality Management System comply with the highest international standards.
ISO 9000 is a family of international standards and guidelines to support and enable the implementation of the Quality Management System maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) (http://www.iso.org/iso/home.htm). The only standard in the family against which organizations can be certified is ISO 9001:2008, which provides a tried and tested framework for taking a systematic approach to managing an organization's processes in order to satisfy the customers’ expectations.
The scope of SGS services which comply with ISO 9001:2008 requirements include Visual Inspection, Asset Integrity Management, Loading and Unloading Inspection and the physical witnessing of tests, samples’ evaluation and laboratory results analysis. Moreover, SGS’s Conventional and Advanced Non-Destructive Testing is in accordance with the international Quality Management System standard. Other SGS services which are in compliance with ISO 9001:2008 are the Project Management of construction, engineering, financial, technological and organizational development, audit services, including Risk Based Inspection, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (http://www.sgs.com/quality-assurance-and-quality-control.htm?serviceId=16857&lobId=5550) as well as Health, Safety and Environment Management.
