Project Management Services for ONGC Corporate Office in Kolkata, India Conducted by SGS
On February 17, 2011, SGS Industrial Services in India was awarded a contract to provide extensive Project Management Services, including but not limited to Project Coordination, Quality Assurance and Quality Control and Safety Management during the construction of the new state-of-the-art corporate office by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in Kolkata, India.
SGS to Carry Out Project Management Services for ONGC Corporate Office in Kolkata, India(firmenpresse) - On February 17, 2011, SGS was selected out of many competitors to conduct Project Management Services, including but not limited to Project Coordination, Quality Assurance and Quality Control and Safety Management, during the construction of the new corporate office by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in Kolkata, India. The contract is scheduled over a period of 32 months.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), a state-owned oil and gas company in India, plans to set up new state-of-the-art corporate offices across various Indian cities due to major growth. Part of this project includes the establishment of a corporate office, in compliance with Green Building requirements, in Kolkata, India. In order to ensure the highest quality of the construction project in terms of safety, time and costs, ONGC looked for a reliable third-party inspection, verification and testing company.
In February 2011 SGS India was awarded a contract to carry out comprehensive Project Management Services for the duration of the construction project, which is scheduled for completion in thirty two months.
With highly qualified experts and outstanding expertise, SGS India will minimize client risk at every stage of the construction works by ensuring that the project stays on schedule, within the planned budget and timeframe. Based on its extensive experience in projects of this kind, SGS will coordinate various steps in review, verification, inspection, testing and approval for all phases of the project as well as coordinate the project with the stakeholders and suppliers.
Furthermore, SGS will conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control during the entire construction works in order to ensure that all products satisfy customer requirements in a systematic and reliable way and are in accordance with all contractual specifications, codes, standards and government regulations. In addition, SGS will carry out Safety Management to assure the safety of workers onsite, as well as provide cost tracking and progress reports to the client. What is more, SGS will be responsible for the handover of the project.
With its network of specialists, SGS will coordinate all stages of the comprehensive construction works in order to keep the project within the planned time schedule and budget.
