Meridian Launches Advisory Council for Learning Management System

HERNDON, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/26/11 -- has launched a customer advisory council to help the LMS software maker stay ahead of the specific training and development challenges facing a wide array of industries. Meridian is already soliciting feedback from its newly created council to develop products and round out its existing lineup of technologies. Meridian's flagship product, the Meridian Global LMS, delivers, manages and reports on training via the internet.

Members of the inaugural advisory council include executives from The Auto Club Group, AutoZone, CSX Corporation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Land O'Lakes, Motorola Solutions, PMI, Sodexo, the State of Oregon, and VCA Antech.

"The overarching goal in creating our advisory council is to stay ahead of the curve in terms of research and development and, ultimately, build a greater product experience for all of our customers," said Vinay Nilakantan, director of product development and research for Meridian. "For years, we've relied on an ad hoc list of customers for feedback and advice. But our advisory council formalizes our process and will ensure we collect viewpoints from diverse industries."

Meridian selected its advisory council members because of their experience with training and learning management systems as well as business.

Council members will serve a one- or two-year term and meet regularly throughout the year to advise Meridian on trends, research and product development.
