- The Chief Electoral Officer must present a report . The report describes Elections Canada's activities leading up to and during the election held on May 2, 2011, as well as related key issues.
- As well, after a general election, the Chief Electoral Officer must publish, without delay, and any other information he considers relevant. The official voting results include the number of votes cast for each candidate, the number of rejected ballots and the number of names on the final lists of electors.
