Vancouver, British Columbia, April 12, 2011 - CIBT Education (TSX: MBA) (NYSE
AMEX: MBA), already a leader in the global education market, has launched a new
service that merges the rising popularity of video conferencing with the need to
educate students at distant and diverse locations.

CIBT is no stranger to innovation in the education field. They own and operate a
network of business, technical and language colleges in addition to providing
cooperative joint programmes at over 70 locations in 18 countries.

Many of their subsidiaries are common names, and all have a reputation for their
first class facilities. They include Sprott-Shaw Community College dating back
to 1903, Sprott-Shaw Degree College, CIBT School of Business China, and King
George International College

These subsidiaries give CIBT the opportunity to provide a vast array of Western
and Chinese accredited business and management degrees, and programmes in
college preparation, automotive maintenance, information technologies, hotel
management, tourism, English language training, English teacher certification,
and other career and vocational training.

However, it is CIBT's new Global Learning Centre that has raised the bar for
online learning.

With the company's new, advanced video conferencing infrastructure, CIBT can
offer accredited western programs to emerging Asian countries from the company's
new teaching studio in Vancouver as well as from its Beijing studio.

This new platform provides students and teachers a live and interactive learning
environment, in which open dialogue is conducted in real time.

Students will also have access to previously recorded lectures, so that they can

work at their own schedule.
This flexibility is particularly important to students with irregular work
schedules.

Recent research shows the most significant factor helping students to succeed in
a web-based environment is their ability to manage time.

There are many other benefits of online education to a foreign student, so we'll
only mention a few
- luxury of remaining in his or her own country and avoiding the necessity of a
student visa
- self paced learning, avoiding the slower pace of the average classroom
- easy access for anyone with restricted mobility

Given the rapid economic development within China and other areas within the
Southern Asian community, the rising demand for western education in Asia has
never been higher.

The company has an extensive supply of qualified instructors to support its
expansion, and in the future plans to add a variety of diploma and degree
programs currently offered at CIBT's group of schools.

There have been a couple of significant advances over the last few years such as
the widespread adoption of high-speed internet connections and the dramatic drop
in the costs of bandwidth for the delivery of video content, advances that could
make online schools the future of education.

Toby Chu, CIBT's President and CEO, recently summed up the company's philosophy,
"We are committed to helping our students meet their unique needs."
