(firmenpresse) - -First concrete result of the recently announced cooperation with IBT Group
-New order regarding a 5 MW chiller solution for cooling requirements in addition to 4 MW-microturbine-plant already announced in May 2011
-Deadline of Sochi project brought earlier
-Total revenues of the whole project to be realized in fiscal year 2011

Berlin, 23rd August 2011 - This week, GGC Energy s.r.o., a 50% subsidiary of listed Greenvironment Plc (WKN: A0YEKX / Symbol: GIV), signed an amended supply agreement for the delivery of a 4 MW-microturbine plant for the expansion of the shopping centre „Novy Vek“ („New Century“) in Black Sea city Sochi. The original contract was announced on the 10th May 2011.

Within the limits of this two-stage-project, it was planned to put the first microturbine into operation in the fourth quarter of 2011. Further three microturbines should have been implemented in the summer of 2012. The delivery of all four microturbines will now take place until Mid January 2012.

In addition to the microturbine plant, a new supply agreement for the delivery of a 5 MW chiller solution for cooling requirements was signed. A 2 MW chiller will be installed in the old energy centre of the shopping mall while a 3 MW chiller will be placed in a technical area on the parking area and fired via a heat pipeline from the heat exchangers as well as additional boilers from the energy centre.

The chilling solution will use two different technologies. Firstly, absorption chillers together with normal cooling towers will be used. Secondly, specialists from GGC Energy and IBT Group will work together to prepare a water/water heat exchanger solution based on groundwater.

The installation and commissioning of the plants will be realized together with the Russian Capstone-distribution partner BPC Group (www.bpcgroup.ru) and other regional companies from the Sochi area.

Richard Benda, CEO of Enkom a.s., comments: “I am glad to be able to announce the good development of this project. As we now have also the world-class chiller system from the IBT Group, we look forward for fluent combination of the two chosen technologies; microturbines and absorption chillers. As Greenvironment and IBT Group have also a strong cooperation, we look forward for fluent combination of these technologies.”

Ilario Vigani, CEO of IBT Group, said: “I am pleased to see that the strategic cooperation with Greenvironment is already working so greatly. Moreover it’s encouraging to realise that all the new and modern large infrastructural developments around Europe are implementing trigenerative technologies. It is definitely the way to go and we are ready to satisfy any kind of power generation demand in this area.”

Matti Malkamäki, CEO of Greenvironment Plc, states: "The lately closed strategic cooperation with IBT Group enabled us to get this additional order. Thanks to the positive development of the project deadline we are able to book all revenues in the current fiscal year 2011. Moreover, we are very confident to win further major contracts in the upcoming months due to the strong demand for CHP and CCHP plants in Europe.”
