STADA sales companies very successful in large-volume 7th AOK tender
in the German generics market

Bad Vilbel, November 23, 2011 - In the view of the Executive Board, the
STADA sales companies STADApharm GmbH, ALIUD PHARMA GmbH and cell pharm
Gesellschaft für pharmazeutische und diagnostische Präparate mbH were very
successful in the 7th round of AOK tenders of the Allgemeinen
Ortskrankenkassen (AOK) for discount agreements pursuant to Section 130 a
SGB V valid throughout Germany.
In the framework of this most recent AOK round with a total tender volume
of approx. EUR 1.2 billion, the three STADA sales companies concluded
contracts for a total of 18 active ingredients - including some product
launches and in-house production as well as a top-selling product Fentanyl
- with the AOK, the largest German public health insurance organization, of
which about 1/3 of patients covered by state insurance in Germany are
members.
Nine of the active ingredients awarded are thereby accounted for by ALIUD
PHARMA, five active ingredients by STADApharm, one active ingredient by
cell pharm, two active ingredients by the bidder consortium
ALIUD/STADApharm and one active ingredient by the bidder consortium
ALIUD/Pfizer. The contracts are legally effective and take effect on
April 1, 2012. They have a regular term of two years. In general, the
respective STADA sales company - or the respective bidder consortium - is
the single contract partner (single source) of the AOK for the awards.
Overall, the STADA sales companies did significantly better than
competitors with these results in the 7th AOK tender round and thereby
confirm the strong performance at AOK.
In view of these newly concluded large-volume discount agreements with the
AOK and the recently received awards for discount agreements on a
multiple-award basis (multi-source) with other public health insurance
organizations, the STADA Executive Board expects the Group's market share
according to volume in the German market to increase further - as it
already had in the third quarter of 2011.
