Proposed portfolio split
On 31 July 2009, the Company announced that it had published a
Circular to Shareholders setting out further details of the
recommended split of the Company's portfolio into a Continuation
Portfolio and a Realisation Portfolio together with proposed new
investment management arrangements.
Elections for Realisation Shares
The Company confirms that valid Forms of Election have been received
in respect of Ordinary Shares, representing in excess of 65 per cent.
of the issued share capital. As stated in the Circular, the Board
will therefore not be implementing the Portfolio Split. If the
Special Resolution is passed at the EGM convened for 10 a.m. on 3
September 2009, the Company will begin an orderly realisation of all
of its portfolio and the Board will shortly thereafter send a
circular to Shareholders with further details of the process for
distribution of the net proceeds of the realisation to Shareholders
and the Company's liquidation.
Capitalised terms used in this announcement will have the same
meaning as in the Circular dated 31 July 2009 unless the context
requires otherwise.
