TPG The Project Group protects its brand equity in preparation for further international expansion
Munich, Germany. August 30, 2011 – TPG The Project Group announced today that TPG® is a protected brand name throughout Europe and the USA with immediate effect. The company has registered its three-letter trademark with the Office of Harmonization for the internal market (OHIM), the European Union agency for trademarks that are valid in all 27 EU countries, due to its ongoing growth in international markets. The word mark is protected in the context of computer programs and software for project, resource and time management as well as for training and consulting services. This enables TPG, a full-service provider of enterprise-wide project management, to be sure that its acronym can only be associated with its own products and services.
TPG The Project Group has grown significantly over the last few years. Its subsidiaries in the US, the UK and Austria have been followed in 2011 by new offices in Switzerland and Canada. The company has also added 19 partners in 17 countries to its global partner network. As a result, the full-service provider of enterprise-wide project management now delivers its entire range of products and services in over 20 countries.
“We have been providing our products and services for Microsoft-based project management internationally for 13 years now,” says Stavros Georgantzis, founder and managing partner of TPG The Project Group. “Due to this commitment, the TPG brand has an increasingly high level of recognition among our target audience. This is why the protection of our brand is an important initiative to safeguard the value of our company.”
