High-power LED with three cooling options

(PresseBox) - A modular concept for industrial image processing
The modular tensor with flexible cooling options is designed for quickly powerful line scan camera applications in industry and special machine OEM. The standardized interfaces offer easy integration with maximum flexibility. The performance provides enough reserve in a web inspection system in the printing, paper, steel, sheet metal, textile and film area to solve challenging tasks.
The highlight of this lighting of up to 1 million lux is the three different cooling systems that can be selected. Due to the modularity of the line light the shape and size of all three cooling options remains the same.
The modular design (100mm increments) addresses line lengths up to 5m. The optical beam output can be controlled via an integrated current control driver either by 1-10V dimming or by PWM control for high speed scanning applications.
The three cooling options counteract overheating of the line illumination whereat water modification allows a constant cooling which is best controlled.
In all three cooling options a controller automatically switches off the line illumination in case of overheating and activates the LED again when the temperature has cooled down. This is to ensure the safety while working with the Tensor and also elongates the service life.
However, the different cooling by air, water and passive also has an effect on the brightness of the light. The passive cooling can be used for applications that require less light whereas in brighter lighting the active cooling must be used.
