On 22 December 2015 the physicist Kai Schillig is found strangled in his apartment in Berlin. A mysterious track leads into the European Research Center CERN in Geneva to the overambitious project manager Eric Stein and his unscrupulous co-operator Boris Bogdanow. Since other scientists have tried for years to investigate the last secrets of the Big Bang with the help of the gigantic “Large Hadron Collider” (LHC), Stein wants to see results at last and manipulates the test conditions by ignoring all safety regulations.
But instead of the expected Higgs-Boson , whose existence would solve a fundamental mystery of the universe, an extremely dangerous Micro Black Hole (MBH) is formed which threatens the further existence of our “Blue Planet”. Now NASA also gets involved. A dramatic race against time begins…
