The first incredible Oktoberfest in Chiang Mai Thailand, which took place saturday the 17th of October 2009 was a big success.

(firmenpresse) - The first incredible Oktoberfest in Chiang Mai Thailand, which took place, saturday the 17th of October 2009, was a big success.
In Chiang Mai's Rati Lanna Riverside and Spa Resort and the beautiful Meadow at the Ping River, the Oktoberfest Charity Project, could welcome appr. 350 people from more than 10 countries.
With a result of about 200.000 Thai Baht (appr. 4.000 Euro) the organizers, the Thai German Friendship Association Section Thailand (Thailandfreunde e.V. Section Thailand) were happy.
The incoming money, after the reduce of the costs, will go to same parts to the Northern School for the Blind and disabled children and to the HIV prevention project of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsavali from Thailand.
With Thailands TV superstar, showmaster, actor and TV cook Ajarn Yingsak Jonglertiesdawong, the last living Lanna Princess Dr. Chao DuanDuang na Chieng Mai and the Vice governor of the Province Chiang Mai Mr. Chumpanee a lot of VIP people joined the event.
Also there have been a couple of sponsors like Erdinger Weissbier,
Federbraeu, Institute of Culinary Arts, Mae Sa Elephant Camp, Fashion King, Oasis Spa, The Podology Center, Pattaya Mail Newspapers (most of them from Chiang Mai) and others.
A lot of prices have been won at Raffle games, auctions, Wood nailing, Limbo, Karaoke and Best Bavarian Dress.
The prices were worth more than 125.000 Baht (2.600 Euro) and contained short time trips to Pattaya, Krabi and Samet Island.
The next year the organizers plan a following event in Chiang Mai and another one in Bangkok.
Thailandfreunde Section Chair Man Wuttipong Arayatumsopon successfully elected in the general meeting of the Thai German Friendship Association Section Thailand, told that he will work with all his power to make all events his organization will do to a very big success in Thailand.
A team with people from 5 countries will help him as the president of Thailandfreunde e.V. international Dirk Weeber said finally at the press conference in Chiang Mai, the 31st of October 2009.
