Indoor Skydiving Germany Group starts installation of first indoor skydiving wind tunnel in greater Zurich area
Indoor Skydiving Germany Group (ISG), German manufacturer of high performance freefall simulators, started the installation of the new Indoor Skydiving facility „Windwerk“ in Winterthur on June the 18th. The opening of the first indoor wind tunnel in the German-speaking part of Switzerland will take place before Christmas 2018.

(firmenpresse) - With the 14 feet diameter wind tunnel capable of reaching speeds of more than 280 km/h ISG brings high quality engineering standards to Winterthur. For the founders of the operating company „Windwerk“ the cooperation with the Indoor Skydiving Germany Group is due to performance and high security standards: „We are very content to realize this project with the high quality ‘Made in Germany’-technology of ISG and looking forward to letting the dream of flight in the greater Zurich area become true this year”, said Tobias Oertle, one of the three “Windwerk” founders.
After opening in late 2018 the German-speaking part of Switzerland will be enriched by a new dimension of entertainment for beginners as well as for experienced flyers. Boris Nebe, Managing Director of ISG-Group: “The indoor skydiving market is growing and we are very pleased that the latest technology of ISG will now find use in Winterthur. The new wind tunnel will be a real enrichment for the whole area.”
The wind tunnel technology of ISG-Group was developed in cooperation with the aerospace department of the Technical University of Berlin and other aeronautical engineering companies and is internationally recognized for its energy efficiency, safety and airflow quality. The first reference facility opened in 2009 in Bottrop, Germany (Indoor Skydiving Bottrop GmbH – www.indoor-skydiving.com). Since then ISG-Group has built and started multiple wind tunnel facilities for customers, many additional projects are in construction or planning phase.
