Christian Unterberger is the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GHM Group, the leading specialist in the measurement and control sector. He is going to take over from Dr. Axel Lamprecht with immediate effect.

Remscheid, 02/05/2022 – Christian Unterberger is the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GHM Group, the leading specialist in the measurement and control sector. He is going to take over from Dr. Axel Lamprecht with immediate effect.
With Christian Unterberger, an internationally experienced expert is taking over responsibility for the future development of GHM Group. He can build on more than 20 years of experience in various areas of activity in distribution, marketing, research & development as well as production and logistics. The 55-year-old has the necessary expertise to continue the path successfully taken by GHM Group.
In addition to further digitisation and stronger international focus of the corporate group, Christian Unterberger wants to drive forward the implementation of sustainable organisation and finance processes in particular. “I will continue to accompany the already started future-oriented projects. A stronger development of the company towards environmental measuring technology is particularly important to me, too. Here, I see enormous growth and development potential for products of GHM Group in the sectors of sensor technology and state-of-the-art measuring technology, for example for wind, temperature, or regenerative energy sources”, the new CEO describes his plans.
Dr. Axel Lamprecht, who had been in the top management of the company since February 2020, is going to leave GHM Group for private reasons and is going to give advice and lend support to the new management particularly in the transition period.
Since January 2022, GENUI has been majority shareholder of GHM Group. Hartmut Jenner, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Board of Management of Alfred Kärcher SE as well as Chairman of the Advisory Board of GHM Group sees this staffing as a consistent continuation of the strategic path taken: “In the past years, GHM Group has built up an excellent reputation with its outstanding quality and strong customer focus. With Christian Unterberger as new CEO and the recently newly created position of an executive CFO with Jürgen Schneider, the management is very well positioned to also successfully develop GHM Group into new business areas and markets in the future.”
About Christian Unterberger:
The native of Switzerland with Austrian passport is married with two grown-up children. He has a diploma in Electrical Engineering from a University of Applied Sciences in Carinthia (Austria) and successfully completed the Advanced Management Training at Duke University (USA). Recently, he had been responsible at Canon Production Printing worldwide for the Digital Production Printing sector as COO and Member of the Executive Board.
