Copenhagen, 17 March 2011, 2011-03-17 18:18 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
Company Announcement 3/2011
NOT FOR RELEASE OR DISTRIBUTION OR PUBLICATION IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR
INDIRECTLY, IN OR INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AUSTRALIA, CANADA OR JAPAN
ISS postpones its Initial Public Offering due to market uncertainty
ISS A/S' Initial Public Offering (IPO) was due to price today, Thursday 17
March 2011. We announced our intention to float on 17 February 2011 and started
our book building process on 8 March 2011. The timetable has coincided with an
extraordinary period in global markets resulting in high levels of uncertainty
and volatility. Notwithstanding this context, the IPO was oversubscribed within
our price range and comprised a book of demand from over 150 institutions
around the world and more than 10,000 retail subscribers in Denmark.
However, the underlying level of volatility and uncertainty continues and given
the existing shareholders' and the company's desire to achieve a successful IPO
with an orderly aftermarket, it has been decided to postpone the IPO.
Ole Andersen, ISS Chairman said: 'We are delighted by the response we have
received from institutional and retail investors but the current volatile and
uncertain market conditions do not allow us to launch the transaction and
achieve a smooth transition into the public markets.'
