Offshore Cabling: Challenges and future development

Experiences with British wind farms have shown that cable installation technology must be improved to ensure that wind parks run continuously and yield satisfying results. In near future, offshore wind parks will be installed in the North Sea as well as the Baltic Sea, demanding a safer cable installation technology than in the past.
Highlight speakers at the conference include for example Jan Matthiesen, Offshore Renewable Technology Acceleration Manager at The Carbon Trust, UK and Thorsten Schwarz, Managing Director at Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke GmbH, Germany, presenting their findings and experience in successful cable installation techniques.
