Three months after its deployment on MOBILKING’S wireless network, MoVidi, a mobile video-sharing service, has become a real success story for Poland’s largest mobile virtual network operator

(firmenpresse) - Munich, January 2009 Three months after its deployment on MOBILKING’S wireless network, MoVidi, a mobile video-sharing service, has become a real success story for Poland’s largest mobile virtual network operator: Approximately 150 000 MOBILKING users have been enjoying the UGC service which was developed by the German company mobieTV. Over 3000 video downloads per month and more than 20.000 page views demonstrate that mobile users are interested in user-generated interactive entertainment in spite of the economic downturn. MOBILKING is happy to announce that 38% of the users stick with the service and return regularly.
MoVidi enables users of multimedia phones to post and watch video clips without the need to install special software or tools. The service runs on a wide range of mobile phones, from older lower-end phones such as the NOKIA6230i to modern high-end devices such as the Sony Ericsson K850i. The easy, on-demand access helps the user to browse through the different categories offered, from videos about monster trucks and extreme sports to videos with macho content. A “Best Of The Day” and a “Last Uploaded” section” on the start-page guarantee entertainment from the first click and will make the user become part of the MoVidi community instantly.
