Greenworld Wind Power Advises PhilCarbon Inc. Projects Receive Initial
Approval From Philippine DOE
Toronto, Canada - (For immediate release) - January 3, 2012 Greenworld Wind
Power Co. Ltd. (Greenworld): Deutsche Börse symbol: GWDA
(www.greenworldpower.ca), advised today the Philippine Department of Energy
(DOE) has signed a service contract with PhilCarbon Inc., for the 30MW wind
farm project proposed for Bulalcao in Oriental Mindoro. Greenworld owns a
40% interest in PhilCarbon. The contract is expected to be notarized and
announced publicly by the DOE in the first quarter of 2012.
In other Company news, Greenworld has appointed Ramon G. Santos as
President of the Company. Most recently, he was the Undersecretary for
Renewable Energy Development within the Department of Energy, after a
previous stint at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Previously, Mr. Santos enjoyed a distinguished military career. He retired
from military service in 2005 with the rank of Brigadier General, after 30
years of service.
Mr. Santos is a member of the Philippine Career Executive Service. He
earned his Masters of Strategic Management and Doctoral degree
(Developmental Administration) at the Philippine Christian University. He
is an International Fellow of the U.S. Army War College where he finished
his Masters of Strategic Studies in 1998, and at the National Defense
University, in China. Mr. Santos is also a visiting Professor at the
Philippine National Defense College.
Mr. Santos will bring his considerable expertise and experience to the fore
in assisting Greenworld to develop ventures and working partnerships with
both public and private sector parties in furthering the 'green energy'
goals of the Company.
