Carlos Tevez Heads Sky Bet's List of Stars Set for January Transfer Window Moves
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 01/03/12 -- A host of big names headed by controversial Manchester City star Carlos Tevez feature in experts, Sky Bet's, January transfer window specials market.
The online anticipates a flood of interest as managers around Europe bid to shuffle their packs ahead of the race for honours or the bid to avoid the dreaded drop.
Tevez has not played for City since his bench bust-up with boss Roberto Mancini during the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich in September and AC Milan are hot favourites at 1/5 to end his Etihad nightmare during the window. Andre Villas Boas has hinted at least another capture with Jack Rodwell believed to be high amongst his targets. The England and Everton midfielder is 1/2 to join Chelsea in January, while Lille's Belgian international Eden Hazard forward is 7/2 to make the same move ahead of Man City 4/1, Arsenal 6/1 and Man Utd 7/1.
Departures are also on the cards from Chelsea with Didier Drogba's contract being up at the end of the season and few signs of a new deal being agreed, The Ivory Coast hit man is 3/1 to join money bags Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala and LA Galaxy and 5/1 to become a PSG player.
Other big names possibly on the move include the Premier League's top scorer Robin Van Parsie who is 11/4 to join Man City in January while out-of-sorts Fernando Torres is 4/1 to leave Chelsea and return to Atletico Madrid where he began his career.
