Consumer Television Series 'Einfach Genial'

technologically advanced starter batteries for motor vehicles, took first
place in viewer voting as part of the consumer television series called
'Einfach Genial' (or 'simply brilliant' in English) aired by the public
broadcasting company MDR (Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk).
A total of ten inventions were nominated for recognition as 'Central
Germany's Best Invention.' These inventions covered a wide variety of
fields ranging from motion-sensor-activated 'walk-along streetlamps' to
knit sweaters made from recyclable polyethylene, all the way to an
indestructible coating for natural stone floors. iQ Power AG was nominated
for its innovative and 'simply brilliant' battery technology. Simple,
non-moving parts made of plastic (passive mixing elements) inside the
battery significantly improve the performance, reliability and service life
of starter batteries and deliver benefits that really pay off, particularly
in cold seasons.
iQ Power's battery technology garnered first place with 38% of the audience
vote. The 'walk-along streetlamp' took second place with 12%, ahead of the
reincarnation of the East German Schwalbe motorcycle as an electric
motorbike called the 'E-Roller' which finished in third place with 11% of
the viewer votes. The awards presentation, attended by iQ Power AG's
Steffen Tschirch and Anna Küpper, was held in the Gondwana Tropical Hall of
the Leipzig Zoo and was broadcast yesterday on MDR television.
'This award as 'Central Germany's Best Invention' is not only the second
such distinction for our innovative technology after having won the
Automechanika 'Innovation Award' in Frankfurt in the fall of 2010, but is
also further evidence of just how important and beneficial our products are
for the consumer. We are delighted at having won this award and would like
