Dane-Elec to Introduce Back-to-School Lines of USB Drives for Kids and Young Adults at 2012 International CES
Products Feature Memory Capacities From 4GB to 16GB, Colorful Packaging, and Leading Dane-Elec Quality

(firmenpresse) - IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/04/12 -- Dane-Elec, a global leader in consumer electronics, is adding three new back-to-school lines of USB drives designed specifically for kids and young adults that are tailored to their needs and interests. The three lines are: ColorBytes designed for pre-teens age 9 to 12 year olds; ShareBytes for teens 13 to 17 year olds; and LifeBytes for young adults. The capless-designed products are small enough to fit in a pocket for easy transport. The new drives will be on display at 2012 CES in the Dane-Elec booth, 30375 in South Hall 3.
"From kids to young adults and beyond, USB drive users want to make a visual statement with their product choices," stated Sherry Chapman, Dane-Elec director of marketing. "Our three new USB lines for back-to-school allow them to do just that. Today, this market segment, aged approximately from nine years to mid-20s, is more sophisticated than ever in what they want to use -- as well as what they want to be seen using. We are excited to announce the new lines, designed specifically for each age group's wants and needs."
Featuring fun, bright, engaging colors, ColorBytes, are small in size to accommodate smaller, less nimble pre-teen fingers of children 9 through 12 years old. A built-in clip keeps each USB drive close at hand on a backpack or clothing. Or, the drive can be easily attached to a lanyard using the opening at the top of the drive. ColorBytes are available in value packs carrying two 4GB drives with a Lil' Monsters, Circa-Dot or Ink Splat design.
Dane-Elec ShareBytes make BFF necklaces so yesterday. These USB drives are designed for sharing, with an interlocking design that gives them instant personality. Double-sided graphics deliver 360-degrees of eye-popping looks. A convenient opening allows each drive to be attached to a lanyard and worn necklace style (hint: think sharing!). ShareBytes are available in value packs carrying either two 4GB drives or two 8GB drives with a X-Ray, Monsters, or Angel & Devil design.
The ultra-functional LifeBytes USB drives will catch the eyes of any college student. Graphic designs, inspired by app icons found on Smartphones, bring these drives to life. A compact form lets them fit easily into pockets or backpacks. As with the other two new drive lines, a lanyard may be easily attached. LifeBytes are available in single packs carrying either an 8GB drive or a 16GB drive with a Peace, Tribal or Tattoo design.
These three new lines of Dane-Elec USB drives will be available for back-to-school.
CES (International Consumer Electronics Show) 2012 will be held in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center and World Trade Center (LVCC)/Las Vegas Hilton.
