(firmenpresse) - FORT WORTH, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 01/04/12 -- Employees of Fort Worth-based , a trading brand of (LSE: ECM), impacted the community this holiday season by participating in the company's fourth annual "Allied Angel Tree" cause. Benefitting children and mothers of the Battered Women's Foundation (BWF), Allied employees had the opportunity to adopt an angel from the tree and provide needs and wish-list items.

"The kindness and generosity of Allied employees blows me away," says Susan Overcash, human resources director at Allied. "When employees select a name off the tree, they don't just buy one little thing -- they go all out! Every year, we have employees asking for more names, as the names are taken so quickly."

For 2011, BWF specifically asked Allied to help buy gifts for teenagers and mothers because the organization had enough sponsors for the younger children. More than 50 Allied employees participated, benefitting 56 women and children.

"Our moms and teens were simply overjoyed," says Linda Pavona, executive assistant at the North Richland Hills BWF location. "One mother stated that it was the first time in years that she had gifts to open on Christmas morning. The teens were overwhelmed because they often give what little they have to their younger siblings or to their mothers. There is no way to adequately express our thanks to Allied for ensuring that our moms and teens felt such love and joy on Christmas morning!"
