Another aspect of the site that Dr. Good hopes pet owners will find useful is the Pet Portal. Accessible from a red button on the right side of the website, pet owners can activate their Pet Portal account in order to access their pets' veterinary hospital records online. Owners can check the status of lab results, view a pet's medical history, prescription lists and see when their pet's next vaccinations should be scheduled.
The families of patients can also sign up under the "Member Topics" section further down on the page to receive a periodic newsletter from the and access a pet wellness program.
Dr. Good, who founded the Homeless Pets Foundation back in 1998, is also pleased with the "Pet Selector" feature, available near the top right of any page on the new website. He says that prospective pet owners can take a quiz that helps them discover which cat or dog breed might best fit into their family.
