(NASDAQ: SPPR), a real estate investment trust (REIT) which owns 100 hotels in 23 states, today announced that it has closed on the sale of its 88-room Masters Inn in Doraville, Georgia on December 20, 2011, for $1.02 million. The hotel was purchased in May 2007 and was no longer classified as a core asset. Supertel used the proceeds from the sale to reduce related mortgage debt.
As of January 5, 2012, Supertel Hospitality, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPPR) owns 100 hotels comprised of 8,768 rooms in 23 states. The company's hotel portfolio includes Baymont Inn, Comfort Inn/Comfort Suites, Days Inn, Guest House Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Key West Inns, Masters Inn, Quality Inn, Ramada Limited, Savannah Suites, Sleep Inn, Super 8 and Supertel Inn.
