BellCon warns: Be aware of counterfeit banknotes in the pre-Christmas months

The SuperVision 1100, the next generation in banknote detection and counting.(firmenpresse) - What experience from previous years has taught us, is that the months leading up to Christmas, are a perfect time for fraudsters to spend their counterfeit banknotes and consequently BellCon would urge you to great caution if your business is operating with cash transactions. The reason for this warning is that it is a known fact that when lots of customers are cueing up and the stress level of sales personnel increases, fraudsters will attempt to take advantage of this situation and often succeed, because the usual safety procedures are being neglected in the turmoil of shopping frenzy. Eastern European crime syndicates in particular, are exploiting this and recent reports from the Serbian newspaper Politika, speak of a rise of 50% in cases of money forging in the first seven months of 2008 in Serbia, compared to the entire previous year. The most frequently forged banknotes are the EURO 50, 100 and 200 notes and the vast majority is coming from Bulgaria. In the countries within the Euro area, they have been 312.000 confiscated banknotes in the first six months of 2008, a rise of 5,4 % compared to the six previous months.

Due to the innovative design of the SuperVision 1000-series, it has been made possible to integrate as many features as never seen before, into such a compact device (only 1,1 without battery). First of all, the devices are equipped with state-of-the-art detection of banknotes in all four directions, with at least 17 sensors and with the possibility of selecting your own currency mix. Secondly, the products come with value counting and five different counting and sorting modes, where results can be viewed instantaneously on the large LCD display or the devices can be connected to a printer, to print out results as well. There is also the possibility of taking advantage of the USB-connection and connect the device to a computer, where you can store the results of your value count in a database, using the free software, which is included in the product package. The SV 1000 devices are very fast, counting and detecting at least 4 notes per second, with a capacity of up to 100 notes at a time. Finally, you do not have to spend any time or money on service and maintenance, as the devices are very easy to open and clean, and also very reliable and dependable.
