Zephyr Leverages Qualcomm Life's 2net Technology to Transfer and View Patient Data
(firmenpresse) - ANNAPOLIS, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 01/09/12 -- Zephyr Technology, world leaders in Physiological Status Monitoring, today announced support for the 2net™ Platform, a cloud-based connectivity solution from Qualcomm Life, a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated.
Over the past 18 months, Zephyr has been developing its Mobile Health Portal, , which receives bio-data from the BioHarness™ 3. The BioHarness ™ 3 was vetted with U.S. Special Forces, NASA and is currently in a series of remote patient monitoring trials, as it awaits FDA certification. The BioHarness ™ 3 is a Bluetooth based device, which collects vital sign information and communicates by using Android Smartphones to send the data to the Mobile Health Portal.
The integration of Qualcomm Life's 2net Hub and Platform offers an alternative option to a smartphone, streamlining patient integration and making for a better end user experience.
